All in all it took five and a half years to complete this chronicle.
It was written exclusively out of private initiative and is not to be regarded as a competitor to other Histories of Divisions.
The matter-of-fact military content was upvalued by reports, diaries and photos. This was possible thanks to the support of many eye-witnesses, families and late soldiers of the 295th infantry Division.
